Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Mátyás Szállás, nestled in a serene pocket near the heart of the city, I was delighted by the warm hospitality and comfortable accommodations that made for a nice Christmas getaway. The staff, always friendly and accommodating, impressed us particularly by facilitating an earlier breakfast upon our request, showcasing their really good service. Our double room featured a cozy patio, allowing us to enjoy the fresh air, and was equipped with all essentials, including a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. The views of the garden from our terrace provided a tranquil backdrop that complemented our leisurely mornings, where we savored the generous breakfast buffet filled with a good variety of continental options. With its proximity to local attractions, we found it convenient to explore the area on foot, pausing for lunch at a nearby restaurant that offered a fresh daily menu. For tea enthusiasts like myself, the ambiance here was a refreshing escape that resonated with our love for nature and comfort. All in all, Mátyás Szállás stood out as a great value for money, perfect for both intimate escapes and family gatherings. I left with a heart full of appreciation and memories to cherish.
